Interesting, but I would have to try one before passing comment. I have noticed that these type of safety devices are now available for motorbike riders and horse riders, where potential back injury is a fear. Presumably the development of lighter gas canisters and sensors have made this possible.

I understand that they are compulsory in Spain.

 

Unless it's hot....

apparently spanish police have been stopping cyclists and fining them if not wearing helmets....You're OK in towns, but cycling between towns, police could well fine you . pretty foolish not wearing a lid anyway IMO
