Dave225
The 'meanie' on the scooter in the front probably reckons his bonus is secured for that one. It does not even stop there, you now can be fined for overstaying your time limit at the Crematorium. So now it is a quick 'adios amigo' and throw in a match before you rush out to see if you have a ticket. Who said taxes end with death?
donna miller
Unfortunately for the haters, it was staged for a TV stunt. You can even see the microphone boom at the left by the 'coffin bearers' :D

Dave225
Probably, but it does have some truth in real life. Our local Paper carried photographs of a hearse being genuinely ticketed as it parked in front of the Funeral Offices to collect the coffin and body. It is also quite common for tickets to be issued when the hearse is outside the church if it is on a main road with yellow lines. The Council is shamed into cancelling them when it is published but then does it all again in the hope it will not be noticed. The Meanies are forced to issue a certain number of tickets or get fired and the areas where they can do this are increasing all the time. And my comment about being fines for overstaying your welcome at the Cremmie is true.
pepe63xnotuse
If it was this, then it seems clear that it was issued in error and cancelled without quibble(..still a pretty gormless thing to do in the first place though! *-)) http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-edinburgh-east-fife-16912404 ..and the funeral director does say, quote: " We have never had a ticket on one of our funeral cars." (..so not so "common" in his experience..). :-S Obviously, it may well be different at your local crem' but I would hazard a guess that restrictions were probably bought in because some folk had been taking the p*ss...? Possibly parking up and leaving the cars there whilst they went to the local pub/club for the wake?(..leaving nowhere for the next party of mourners to park)..or even using it whilst the popped to the shops etc?... :-S
