foxy
Hi there can anyone help with the name of the village in France that has been preserved as it was left during the 2nd world war following a massacre of the inhabitants. I believe there was an article about it in MMM some time ago but I cannot for the life in me remember where it was. Cheers Foxy

Roy
Hi Foxy, It is just west of Limoges. Absolutely well worth visiting - allow a good half day. Roy.
Rowan Lee
And be prepared for the assault on your emotions. It is a very, very difficult place.
foxy
Is there good parking for motorhomes?
barrie w
Yes excellent - although I found it difficult to sleep parked in the carpark opposite such an emotional place! My nightmares of the dark took over for a while until I had a glass or two of wine.... Brilliant place and excellent village statue to all those who died. We will visit again. Barries sleeping partner! (after 4am that particular night!) *-)
Roy
Yes, no problem parking. There is also an 'Aire' there with 20 emplacements (rue de Stade). Although the original village was preserved as a memorial, there is a modern village also. Roy.
