kelly58
My son wants to stop off in Paris for New Years Eve on his way back to Chamonix in his campervan , I thought he could use ASCI Camping International at Maissons Laffite , but it will be closed .Has anyone any ideas for parking with access to the city via public transport he could use . Thanks in advance .
Tony Jones
Hi Kelvyn A couple of years ago we stayed for a few nights on the big open car park on the south side of the Chateau de Vincennes, It's just outside the Périphérique on the east side of the city, and Vincennes Metro is an easy stride. Parking is free, and it's listed as an "aire de stationnement camping-cars," but there are no facilities so he'll need to be fully self-sufficient with enough water and gas on board for his stay. Oh, and it's pretty safe - there's a police barracks just off to one side!
