audgreen
Dare I ask a new question? I have a stainless steel easy fit hose to a calor gas bottle. Is there a simple connector I can buy to connect to the Spanish gas bottle. We also have a gaslow bottle but the place we are staying for 3 months the nearest auto gas refill is 100 kilometres away. bolero boy
One connector like this to convert your POL fitting to 'butane' connector..... http://www.gasproducts.co.uk/acatalog/Propane_Pol_to_Butane_Adaptor.html .....and one Jumbo adaptor to fit onto the Spanish bottle, like this.... http://www.gasproducts.co.uk/acatalog/Gaslow_Jumbo_Adaptor.html
Derek Uzzell
audgreen This 2012 forum thread may be useful regarding Spanish gas-bottles generally. http://www.outandaboutlive.co.uk/forums/Motorhomes/Motorhome-Matters/Camping-Gas/28309/?posts=9 Although you've said in an earlier thread that you own a Bessacarr 495, I don't think you've ever provided its year of manufacture. Are you sure that a Spanish gas-bottle will fit in your motorhome's gas-locker, as earlier Bessacarr 495s would only accomodate Calor 6kg propane canisters? Derek Uzzell
audgreen - 2013-12-29 11:51 AM our bessacarr is 2006 OK, but can its gas-locker take 13kg Calor propane bottles? The 2006 service handbook http://www.bessacarr-owners-club.org/info-centre/manuals/motorhome/Bess-MH-Service-Book-2006.pdf indicates (Page 12) that a 495 model's gas-capacity is 2 x 7kg bottles. If that's correct, you probably won't be able to get the larger Spanish bottles into the gas-locker. Consequently, if you wanted to use a Spanish bottle while on the campsite, you'd have to have the bottle outside the locker and, if that were the case, you'd need a suitably long gas-hose to connect bottle to motorhome. audgreen
thanks for that. We have used one stood outside before and the hose reached to it. Again many thanks

Derek Uzzell
The following website includes a map showing LPG stations in Spain: http://www.mylpg.eu/stations/spain Audrey plans to stay at L'Estartit, then at Benicarlo. Assuming that the map's information is accurate and up-to-date, there's an LPG station about 19 miles from L'Estartit http://www.mylpg.eu/stations/spain/station/Repsol-Cred-Celra-BFCCA97E-5DBA-3645-C18F-4DFCD2929694 and one about 40 miles from Benicarlo http://www.mylpg.eu/stations/spain/station/Repsol-2000-1F2F7977-5CA0-D5BB-F08F-1FC3F4960B48
