Dave225
Has anyone else been experiencing problems with downloading Yahoo mail to Outlook recently. Mine was perfectly fine until Saturday morning when it has stopped linking. I can get the mail on Yahoo itself but it is clumsy and it is easier to use Outlook. According to the error message Yahoo is not 'responding'. I tried re setting everything but merely managed to screw up Office for my sins and now cannot get it uninstalled to try it all again. Fortunately the laptop is still working fine but again no link to Yahoo, so it is not the computer.
Will86
Take all the plugs out and disconnected all the connections - walk around the block then join everything together again - should be the answer. It is to most problems.
pepe63xnotuse
Hi Dave.. My email was messing about not so long back. For a couple of days, I was unable to get my TalkTalk mail sent over into my Windows Live mail(...although my OH's was coming over fine..).. Being non-techy, I eventually found out that the code displayed meant it was out of "sync".. Which meant deleting it from the Live mail list(Right click >"Remove Account")and then re-entered it (in "Accounts", in top toolbar)... I'm probably only telling you what you already know or have tried anyway..but it's just a thought.. ;-)
Dave225
I have now discovered, after a lot of searching, that Yahoo changed all their settings recently. They have dropped all yahoo .co.uk mail settings and now just use yahoo .com. They have alos changed the incoming and outgoing port numbers and require SSL encryption. If all that sounds too complicated then the attached will explain it all with pictures. http://www.emailquestions.com/microsoft-outlook/8548-fix-pop3-imap-settings-yahoo-mail-yahoo-requires-ssl.html Now have it all working again but now have to reload the hard drive on the desktop as I screwed up Office while trying to fix this. It will not uninstall or re-install and is corrupted, so back to the drawing board. Fortunately the laptop was still in one piece.
