Caddies104
Hi Not sure if some of this info may be relevant but if you search 'download to Tomtom' it might point you in the right direction.. I know you want Garmin but may be similar ....
JohnP
If you do a seach on this forum entitled "Garmin help" you will find an example of the POI file structure for Garmin. Search over past year. If you have problems with this send me a PM and I will send you some sample files for Garmin to try.
Retread24800
There are several resources available to you, some are Aires de service and parking, some are campings, so it is necessary to load poi's for both if you require ASCI camp sites. You will need to down load the info from the sites listed below into a new file ( you might want to call it 'newpois' ) on your computer. most will be in zip format so it will then be necessary to open the zip files and place them into a further new folder called say 'poisunzipped' Once you have downloaded all the poi's you want, plug in your garmin and open poi unloader and follow the instructions, telling the machine that the new pois that you wish to load are in 'poiunzipped'. http://www.i-campingcar.fr/accueil.htm http://www.gpspassion.com/forumsen/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=30654 http://www.archiescampings.eu/eng1/ I found (and some computer person probably knows why) that the download for ASCI was slightly simpler. First log into ASCI, go to my space and plug in your garmin, go to the down load section and you will find that Robert is closely related to you! http://www.campingcard.co.uk/gb/en/europe/A search on here brought up http://www.outandaboutlive.co.uk/forums/Motorhomes/Motorhome-Matters/Free-guide-to-French-Aires/24047/from 2012 should help! JohnP
Construct your POI folders and files on your PC using the format shown below. There is one main folder which contains all the sub-folders.
Retread24800
The last time I used POI loader it asked me if I wanted to over write the existing files, did you find the same thing?
JohnP
Yes it does, but it does not overwrite the poi files which came with the Garmin when you purchased it. It only overwrites the poi files you have loaded.

Retread24800
If you click on either I-camping car or GPS passion above in my first reply you will find 2013/4 versions, for i-camping car you will need to first go to 'installation GPS' and then 'Garmin'.
