clifford60
hi all, for a while now i've been using a battery on my van that was rated at 75ah as opposed to the 80-100ah as recommended. i have now bitten the bullet and bought the correct 100ah battery. when i checked with a volt meter, the alternator was only charging at 14.2 volts. is this acceptable or is the alternator ready to go. all help appreciated. lennyhb
14.2 volts is quite normal for a sealed battery.

Tracker
lennyhb - 2014-01-14 1:35 PM 14.2 volts is quite normal for a sealed battery. Especially if the battery is close to fully charged anyway.
