davidmac
Hi, I am sorting out a route for this years foreign expodition ,with first proper stop at Trier. With an early afternoon crossing via the tunnel I have been looking for an overnight stop near either Tournai or Ghent, not botherd as to go Lille,Mons, Luxembourg or Brussels Luxembourg. There is nothing in All The Aires or google earth that I can find. Has anyone here used a stopover in either of these locations? Cliffy
I am having the same problem. There is very little in the area I found this one http://alanrogers.com/campsites/camping-de-laorient-BE0540 but I have not there and I did read one bas review. Being in Alan Rogers book must mean it is not that bad I am going to give it a go in Mat on our way to Croatia.
Mel B
There's an aire at the side of the canal/river at Sas Van Gent which we've used on a few occasions and found it very nice.
peejay
Hi, There is a handy free aire within walking distance of Tournai centre, we have used it a few times as a transit stop..... N50.60411 E3.38115 >Tournai Aire< Pete
lennyhb
South East side of Ghent there is a free Aire by the leisure centre on the edge of the park' just of the E17. Tram stop just across the road that will take you straight to the centre. No water but there is a dump point. N51.037651. E3.766380

N50.60411 E3.38115 >Tournai Aire< Pete I have had a look on street view. It looks like it is large car park. Is there a designated area for overnighting. It looks like it would be a good place for us to overnight as it will be around 8.0pm when we get there.

lennyhb
Aires are increasing rapidly in Belgium as towns are now required to provide Motorhome parking. Oh for a law like that in the UK :D
