PJay
Does any one know of a service engineer to service the above , either mobile, or within easy access of Portsmouth? PJay
Dave Newell
Vanbitz at Taunton are Dometic/Waeco agents but there is little if anything to "service". Unless it is faulty I'd suggest you go to your local motor factors and buy a can of air con disinfector and use that. Apart from that and cleaning any filters that's about all there is to do. D. PJay
Dave Thanks for your reply. We felt that it may need a "service " as has been on the van for 8 years. It works OK and has not been used much, as although we spend time in Spain, it is always before it gets too hot. The unit we have is also a heater, which again does not get much use PJay
Guest JudgeMental
we had a Waeco unit on the roof of our CB, your choice is to ring around local car a/c mobile engineers and ask how much to clean filters and check it..it may well need some gas at 8 years old? or bring it to diamond Dave :-D
PJay
Thanks Eddie OH thought it might need gas, but trying to find some-one down here, seems to be dificult. Even Southdowns in Portsmouth recommended on Waeco web site, don't do it!! Did you ever have your's done on your CB?. Don't think would bother again to have fitted, though we do find it handy driving along with it one. Seemed like a good idea at the time !! We will keep on looking I guess PJay
Brian Kirby
Alternatively, if you just want it checked over for peace of mind, contact Waeco UK (now part of Dometic) who have some mobile engineers, or will be able to give you the name of your nearest service engineer.
