sheer lunar-see
Try Huelgoat in finisterre, 40 mins from Roskoff, 2 1/2 hrs from St Malo or 4hrs from Caen. If its rough terrain you want. You also have the monts d'arree close by, similar to exmoor or flat long touring, 40mins away is the Nantes/Brest canal Hope this helps. P.s there are plenty of aires in the locality. flicka
Hi Kevin (van640) which type of "off-road" cycling are you looking for ?. Good coastal cycle tracks (paved) around Le Crotoy" with beaches close by. Plenty of sites / aires to choose from. In Picardy so 1 to 2 hours from Channel ports/Eurotunnel. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Le_Crotoy
Guest JudgeMental
I doubt that any are serious mountain bikers on here..google is your friend. just put in "off road cycling in France" and there's lots of info... http://www.brittanytourism.com/ideas/art-de-vivre/10-great-ideas-for-cycling-in-brittany "Côtes-d’Armor has some 4000km of marked circuits for mountain biking – or VTT as it’s known in French (vélo tout terrain). A choice of routes means that there is something to suit all abilities from those who have never cycled off road to those wanting to test their limits; find the perfect route for some family fun or go it alone and cycle solo. The area also has five dedicated mountain bike centres."
