crob
I think I need a new water drain tap that drains the water from the hot and cold pipes when winterising the van. I think that it is a specialist Hymer part. The last time I bought one it cost around a tenner; I have just been quoted £25 by Brownhills, who have to get it from Germany. I have done a Google and have sent off a couple of emails to dealers for another price. Has anyone got knowledge of having to buy Hymer parts at a reasonable price, and where to get them from, or are they all a bit of a rip-off these days? pepe63xnotuse
Could you post a photo of this/these tap(s)?... It may not be identical but I would've though that you'd be able to find a generic tap(from the likes of C.A.K tanks etc) that do the same job... I may of cause be talking complete twaddle...... Brock
Hymer buy in some parts so you might be able to source a supply without Hymer. One off parts from Hymer are more expensive [presumably because of postage and time to locate and package] whereas parts delivered as part of a regular parts ordering service are not quite so expensive. Overall, Hymer parts are expensive but in my experience, you need to replace very little so it may even itself out.
lennyhb
Why do Brownhills have to get it from Germany and charge you £25 when they have them in stock and are selling them at £11.64 (P&P £2.99). Hymer Double Drain Valve
