Gram
My 3.0L Boxer X2/50 is suffering from a slight leak at the joint between the bottom hose and the radiator connector. This continues even when cold. I have replaced the hose clamp but the weeping persists. I am not too keen on putting mustard powder in the cooling system! Is the plastic radiator connector prone to cracking? What does The Team think? G
euroserv
We have experienced zero leaks from the plastic connectors but have had one or two pipes split in the rubber section. Sealant will not help here. I suggest you get a new pipe.
Gram
Thanks, Nick. Do I just prise out the metal clips to release the plastic connector from the radiator? Should the new hose be put on with sealant? Sorry - I know time is money. G
