Charabanc
Any ideas as to how to source a short table for the dinette area to allow greater circulation/lounging space ? We don't always need the full table which makes into the double bed and would prefer a smaller version just to put a laptop/ iPad and a cup of coffee or tea on, fixed to the wall. Many thanks. PJay
How about a small folding wooden table? You can get them in Dunelm, and have seen them in the £1 shops (but not for a £) Not fitted to wall but useful and can take it outside as well Price anywhere from £5 to £10 or use a camping table that can adjust to various hights, again would be free standing PJay
flicka
Hi Charabanc Try the Magnum Motorhomes & O'Leary's website, both usually have a selection of sizes available, from Motorhome / Caravan manufacturers excess /old stock. http://www.magnummotorhomesltd.co.uk/ http://www.olearymotorhomes.co.uk/selfbuild-parts-1-c.asp Other sources include (depending where you are in UK) http://www.autovan.co.uk http://www.rainbowconversions.co.uk/ http://www.charlesandson.co.uk/
Corky 8
The table in our Motorhome was a really well made quality table but we had difficulty passing it even when in its folded away position, I took it out and what a weight it was too, I have made my own ,I bought one of these from e bay.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FIAMMA-TRIPOD-STAND-MOTORHOME-CARAVAN-CAMPERVAN-MAKE-YOUR-OWN-TABLE-LEG-SET-/271420277192?pt=UK_Campervan_Caravan_Accessories&hash=item3f31e8c1c8,I made my own table top to the size which suited us, from 6mm marine ply with a nice grain effect. I can fold the legs away and stow the table top under our fixed bed, there are small table tops for sale on e bay and such like,
Wills Wagon
Corky* We had the same problems with our big heavy table. It is about time manufacturers made an alternative lightweight table that was smaller and much lighter so two people can eat or use laptop and be able to get round it more easily. Charabanc
Great ideas, thank you very much. Like the idea of a flap set just under the level of the other table. We had one in our trailer tent and it was very good for a cup of something or glass of wine. There was a bottle storage cubby hole behind that one where we kept the cellar. Happy days. My mum had a 1993 Autosleeper Symphony years ago which had two different sizes of table, both carefully stowed. Both were useful in their turn. I shall enjoy looking at those websites.
