skercat
My Rapido passed its MOT today, even though it has a fuel leak. The main dealer garage called me and asked if they could remove the tank to investigate. It seems the tank has a leak. £1100 plus VAT to replace. I eventually persuaded them to speak to an alternative tank supplier, they agreed the tank was the correct one, but as it was not original Fiat they could not guarantee it would fit, and they would not know until they had fitted it, together with all the suporting parts. Cost so far to investigate - one and a half hours at £77. They have offered to put it back together so I can go elsewhere, I suppose that would be another hour snd a half. Any suggestions please, or do I just have to go ahead and have them fit it?
silverback
loads on ebay from under £100 either new or from a scrap yard if you got an aftermarket one don't see why it shouldn't fit, then tell em to fit it cos you would be just wasteing your money telling em to put it back together and go elsewhere jon
Overdrive
When this happened to our last van they repaired the tank - plastic weld! Is it so damaged it's beyond repair? I think you need to look at the tank yourself and see what the issue is. David
