thirtle26
I have read a number of threads about renewing your licence when you reach 70 but wonder what health issues could prevent you from driving a MH over 3500 kg when you get to this magical age. Is there a checklist somewhere.
malc d
thirtle26 - 2014-04-19 8:48 PM I have read a number of threads about renewing your licence when you reach 70 but wonder what health issues could prevent you from driving a MH over 3500 kg when you get to this magical age. Is there a checklist somewhere. I think eyesight is the main consideration but there is an A - Z list of conditions that could affect your ability to drive on the Govt. UK website ref driving at 70. Probably depends a lot from person to person depending how bad the conditions are ? ;-)
Will86
As far as I remember it was a general medical check on many things which had to be paid for unless you are a taxi driver, (this was many years ago) No pass no licence for over 3500 not even 3850. Even more important if you are overloaded. Insurers are not obliged to be lenient, it black and white yes or no.
