Derek Uzzell
Welcome to the Out&AboutLive forums As capcloser says, there is an article about this in the MMM June 2014 issue (Pages 192 & 193). The procedure is relatively straightforward, with the complete original PCB being discarded. The wiring modifications needed to carry out the conversion should be evident from the photos in the article and seem simple enough. (As these fluorescent lights don't use a lot of 12V power - and there's the cost of the conversion, the potential to screw up the task, and the possibility that the resultant light-quality won't be liked - I'd question whether this is such a great idea unless the fluorescent light is faulty.) Cattwg
I have changed all of our lights to LED with the exception of the flourescent one over the hob - for the reasons given by Derek. Is there any real advantage in swapping out the florescent light? Cattwg :-D
