Heater matrix

grumps

Recommended Posts

Hi Alan, I have had a similar problem on a car a long while ago, I just located the rubber pipes that flow in and out of the matrix, and put a hose pipe on them one at a time until the water flowed okay both ways. A word of caution though, it would be worth flushing the radiator and engine waterways at the same time. My last new MH had a problem with the eberspacher heater, the engineer who fixed it topped it up with Bluecol and it reacted with the Peugeot fluid, which caused the vehicle to overheat, because it blocked some waterways in the radiator. Providing you know what antifreeze you have, you can top it up with the same - but if you don't know, then flush all the old antifreeze out before refilling with a good antifreeze. Regards Terry
