TV Satellite Kit from Maplin

Has anybody used one of these kits? (Disk, LNB, reciever for free to air channels - now £90!) I am interested in using in the UK and especially in France and Italy to get the local area TV progs and also BBC Radio 4. BTW I do not work for Maplin! :-S

Hi Chris, Set one up for my brother the other day on the drive and found it works pretty well. A number of dish fittings are included, you can even leave the dish in the case and angle the lid for elevation. Only down side (for me), is there is no RF out only scart. I will probably buy just the receiver for a spare - the kit is very good value. Regards Terry

That well known German Food Store have actually undercut the Maplins price recently to a whopping £59.99! They are also offering very cheap flights which may be of interest to some who over winter abroad. www.lidl.co.uk

We find the German food store kit very good, we don't go abroad but in the South of England it works a treat, we bought a sat find though and that makes a lot of difference in setting up. Tezza
