Des96
We are normally able to do our touring out of season, but this summer we need to move freely in the Sisteron/Carpentras /Nyons area during the last 2 weeks in July. Is it practicable? If there is anyone who has had experience of searching for aires or sites during this period we would be grateful for their advice. jointerjohn
Hi Des we were in the same situation last year ie last two weeks in july/first two in aug, it will be busy! we came across two or three sites that were full ! all were busy, the main advice as usual is to try to get on site early in the day, if you get on to a nice one think about staying a few nights, i would hope you had an (all the aires book) we went with friends who had the 2013 version, ours was an older one! there were quite a few changes/updates, remember the comercial sites will be top price. Barryd999
We are nearly always away July and August. If you dont use campsites you will be fine (we never do). Aires will be busy but there are loads of them. Just get there early. Ive never found it a problem and of course the weather should be great! Des96
Thanks to you both. I guess it will just be a new experience. The wife thinks France out of season is too quiet anyway!
