Secondlife
Thinking about a late summer trip from Portsmouth to Le Havre and return, does anyone have any idea where I could park up for the night upon our return to Portsmouth as the ferry does not dock until 9:30pm. Thanks
Thewad
I live just outside portsmouth and as far as I know there is no official parking in the city at all, however if you aim for the 'eastney ' end of southsea it's a lot quieter and often see motorhomes parked, the same on some roads along the sea front as well
Secondlife
Thanks for that, anywhere that we could sleep for the night would be good. :-D
betsy
Hello secondlife! When we return on a late ferry to Portsmouth we go to the nearby Port Solent (shops/restaurants/ marina etc) and overnight in the very large open car park there. It is worth bearing in mind that some keen users of the David Lloyd gym arrive quite early for their morning workouts so you might want to park a bit further away from the parking spaces adjacent to the entrance. After the various bars and restaurants have closed up the place is quite quiet. Sleep tight! Betsy
