robin
Hope this is usefulPre and post Ferry/Tunnel, we have become accustomed to stopping overnight on the unoffical aire de stationnement at Cap Blanc Nez (just off the cost road south of Sangatte) in company with about 20 or so others. Please note that this has now been 'height barrierred'. There is a place at Cap Gris Nez, but this is a bit of a nightmare after wet weather. So we ended up at the big Aire in Le Touquet last week. This is chargeable (5 Euros), but we have never been asked for payment. We have also stayed at Dunkerque quite happily with sea view at the Plage des Alliers. This is probably a bit nosiy in season. For a more peaceful night we can recommend the superb small aire at Hondschoote - about 10km inland from Dunkerque (there is a borne that takes Jetions) directions below (courtesy of Camping Car Infos)CheersD947 Axe Lille-Bray-DunesEntrée parking du moulin de la VictoireAutoroute A16 sortie 36 Les MoeresA25 sortie 14 Bray-dunes Cheers
Roy
I saw somewhere that there is a free site just outside the village of Wissant. Maybe somebody can have a look and let us know? Otherwise the aire at Arques (St Omer), (equidistant Calais, Bulogne, Dunkirk, Tunnel), is fine for €2 a night (and you can use the showers at the adjacent camping site with jeton bought from reception). BrianR
There is also a good aire in Le Portel, near the Intermarché, in the parking for the sports ground. Brian
