backtrax
On the modern Boxer (with canbus wiring) is there an alternative method to reset the service light rather than going to a main dealer? I am told the light may just 'go out' after a while - is this true? Alternatively, is there a cheapish gadget available to do this?
Dave Newell
Yes just ignore it and it will go off of its own volition soon enough. D.
Steve928
There is a longish thread from a while back on this subject, but in summary: - as Dave says, the service light will go out by itself after 1000km. - there is no cheap (under £100) tool that will reset it. - later (I can't recall the mileage interval) the oil pressure light will begin to flash for 30 seconds each time the engine is started - this doesn't ever go away by itself but can safely be ignored. Derek Uzzell
This is probably the earlier 'flashing oil-light' thread Steve has in mind http://www.outandaboutlive.co.uk/forums/Motorhomes/Motorhome-Matters/Flashing-oil-light-Peugeot-Boxer-2007-2-2-litre/31914/
Wasnt Me
Just had a look on Autodata it says "Service interval indicator can only be reset with a suitable diagnostic tool" Hope this helps
