ChrisD
Hi wondered if anyone has any experience with the Peugeot boxer fuel gauge. The gauge remains at empty and the yellow warning light flashes. There is loads of fuel in the tank. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
StuartO
Worth checking for a fuse failure, because at least the fuses are easily accessible. Then maybe a poor connection at the sender unit on the tank or a sender unit failure, which might be a bit more inaccessible.
Tracker
In the olden days when this happened we would go under the car and give the tank a couple of good thumps to hopefully release a stuck float. Might not help but it costs nowt to find out!
ChrisD
Thanks for replies guys. Unfortunately it's not the sender. But the instrument cluster. Have had 2 diagnostics at an average £70 each and both come Back the same. First quote is £685. Wow
biggadave
Hello I had the same problem with a 2003 Ducato I had the same type of quote I said noway for a fuel gauge Fiat used to list a recon for about £200.00 so I orderd 1 only to get a call the next day to say no longer available. so I had to bite the bullet and order one I did then get a trade discount which was £500.00 something and fitted it myself it was quite easy. I know this does not help much but it may save you some £££s Good luck with it Regards Dave
Tracker
You could always try a vehicle breaker - plenty online?
