While I may be accused of being ignorant of the overall situation in France,I can still make ends meet despite a 17% devaluation of Stirlingagainst the Euro.

Answers on the so called UKrecovery need to take into account the actual recovery outside London, the Telegraph gives a Londonrecovery rate of 2.7/2.9 whereas the more deprived regions struggle to gain 1%.

The other factor that the Bank of England notes is that the so called recoveryis consumer led, but at the expense of savings (down 30%) and general indebtednessrisen to 160% of income.

There are doubts outside the Tory faithful that thisrecovery is sustainable and it is for this reason that the Pound continues totrade at its pathetic level.

Curiously we had a couple of friends in our village who moved back from France 3/4 years ago ;-)................they moved back to France last May :D.............

No it wasn't us that made them move back *-)................they missed the French way of life ;-)...............and now we have a free pitch in Dordogneshire B-)............
