michele
About anything you want. But you have been warned so stay off the serious thread's . So we can all meet here if anyone want's to. That way no need for problems & we can all live in harmony :-> (lol) ;-)
carolh
Daddy long legs! I have never seen so many in all my life, they are indoors, lucking on the outside of the windows, all over my car in the morning, so any that can hang on long enough get a lift to work. how's this for social chit chat (lol) (lol) Carol
howie
Good idea Michele. We will keep this thread for the lighter issues. Another benifit will be cutting out the confusion and tracking back when replying to current comments. A good example was last night when I replied to Wayne on the wrong thread and subject. O.K., I admit I find it difficult keeping up at the best of times, and for me at least this will make things a lot easier. No a doubt a few feathers will be ruffled now and then, so I hearby appoint you chairperson/ arbitrator. Now that will be interesting. Howard. howie
Sorry Michele. Your idea so you get the job. If at some stage money gets involved, put me down as treasurer, and as far as boogies are concerned, you and Carol should remember we all have our place in the scheme of things. Mel E
Daddy Long Legs - kill as many as you can. They lay eggs that, in the larval stage are leather jackets that eat the roots of all your favourite plants!
howie
You may be able to help here Mel due to your location. Over the years we have put together a large collection of photos showing the various places we have visited. At the moment three of those photos show us standing at three of the extremes of the British mainland. Lands End (south). Ardnamurchan (West) and Dunnet Head (north). We are hoping to tour the eastern coastline next spring, and would like to know the exact most easterly point of the U.K. as this would complete this particular piece of our memorablia. All the the previous photos included an official sign stating our location, so if know if there is a place re. east, please let us know. Howard. hbarnett
Did you know that the daddy long legs carry one of the most potent vemons of all insects, it's a good job that their fangs are too small to pentrate human skin. Never be tempted to taste one though!

colin
My main job is rebuilding vintage aircraft, but we also hang aircraft in musuems (or anywhere else that will pay us ) see www.skysportengineering.co.uk at the moment I'm working on the second 'Hucks starter' we have built, this is a aircraft starting system built on a ford model T, so yes we get some interesting jobs, but as our boss said in a recent magazine article, we put up with, leaking roofs, c**p pay, and last but not least HIM :D :D :D

Anyway, thank you for the info which I have put in my little reference book. Wonder where Lizzy has got to. Hope she did,nt take offence at our remarks the other day, and I don,t know about you but I found it awful difficult typeing with my legs crossed tightly and my eyes filled with tears. If your out there Lizzy, we all miss you, and post a message even if its just to say you forgive us. Now here,s a shocker. I,ve just discovered Mel B is of the female variety, and I don,t why but I just assumed otherwise. At least Colin and Howard B. have posted on this thread so i can count on their support at least. Careful what you say as chairperson/arbitrator is always listening, and you know how power goes their heads. Howard.

Lizzy
I"M HERE I was poorly on Sat - some kind of virus or high blood pressure or not eating properly ..... Yesterday Hubby and I went to the Circuit to see the British Superbikes. Several riders spilled into the kitty litter, only one was stretchered off. The others will be heavily bruised this morning, wonder whether they require a gentle massage Was more interested in the motor homes in the Paddock! I don't get offended with general chit-chat on forums - life is too short! If we didn't have chit chat most forums would die through lack of use! Craneflies - everywhere++ - it's because we haven't had as many starlings this year - they usually take out the leather-jackets from lawns etc.. The females have a long pointy end to lay the eggs, males are rounded: not that I look that closely when I hoover them up ;-)

howie
Well its either laugh or cry Michele. The latest medication i,m taking is driving me nuts. I,m either swinging from the lampshades or sat in the corner like a zombie, and if that is,nt bad enough i,m getting confused all the time. Take last night. For the life of me, I could,nt get my head around the two Mels and which was which, and to cap it all it turns out Mel B is a woman. Nothing wrong with that of course but its funny how you build up a mental picture regarding the person the your talking to. Apart from being chairperson/arbitrator, do you fancy taking on the role of agony aunt as well. Yours with a troubled mind. Howard.
howie
Hope you feel better now Lizzy and you were not offended by Mandys remarks, although I thought they were a bit near the knuckle. I see you are compiling a list of motorhomes at the moment and it would help if you could bring it down to say your two or three favorite vans. The Hymer Rotec is Mandys choice so far and has anything really caught your eye to date. Howard.
Lizzy
Lunar Premier on a Renault is 1st choice. Liked the look of the Hymer Eriba at Bath and West - also a Benimar but by the time we went back for a 2nd look, they had been sold so locked up! Now Howard - Senior Moments happen to the best of us ;-) with or without the aid of medication/drink/sunshine ........ My regular meds make my head feel woozy at times so I often take twice as long to do chores as necessary, 'cos I forget what I went for etc. etc. *-) even when I make a list I forget where it is! :-o
