iwanttotravel
Hi, I have an Elddis Autoquest 130. When travelling I get a bad vibration from the rear roof light (just a pop up one), it seems to be double skinned. Can this be replaced with a stronger single skinned one and if so is this a job a basic job for a very unhandy man? Thanks
Rayjsj
This probably because the wind is trying to lift it as you are driving, you could get a Fiamma deflector placed (Sikaflexed/ glued) in front of it, I did this on my Daughters VW hightop, as the rooflight kept popping open as she drove along, the deflector fixed it. http://www.leisureoutlet.com/caravans-and-motorhomes/Fiamma-Vent-Systems/Fiamma-Roof-Vent-Spoiler.html?gclid=CJOzm6ncksACFXDKtAodFWoAtg Regards Ray
Wasnt Me
Hi I replaced a 400mm roof light in my van. I fitted a mini heiki one. It was fairly easy. I removed the old one cleaned all the old sealant using a plastic scraper and a solvent. Covered the new one with clear silicon sealant and refitted. It has not leaked yet, or fallen off yet.
