marv04
Hi, can anyone recommend any good reasonably priced camp sites about 100mls south of Tours /France with easy cycle routes. Our first trip in our Scout going mid September. I also posted a request for any ideas re -window not working properly. It turns out new unit is required from Fiat £176 they also offer exchange units £116.So if any one else has Electric Window problems ask for an exchange unit(not always offered)Hope this may help someone. mildi
There is a cheap no frills site just outside Ruffec called Rejallant, ACSI rate is 10Euro a night and 7 nights for the price of 6 free Wi-Fi and 10amp hookup, waste and water on every pitch. showers/toilets or ok-ish, has a nice heated pool and about 150m to the Charente river/beach with canoes etc. Town about 10 minutes by bike. not far off the N10 toll free road. We found it very good value. About 40 mins south of Ruffec, camping Marco de Bignac, English owned, nice pool and bar/bistro ACSI 14e has a large lake with free fishing for guests. Drive to shops for this one. I think most places are good for cycling in France Mark. Never had a problem with electric windows, or is that tempting fait!!!
