Alan Rogers & Essanjay

I would just like people to know about the excellent service we received this week from both Alan Rogers and Essanjay at Poole. While on a CL at Dover prior to a 7.30 crosssing the following morning our big roof light decided to let in some of the torrential rain that was descending. Husband was unable to deal with the flow so we cancelled our P & O crossing and battled our way home again through yet more rain and far too much traffic. Essanjay then took our 'motorhome in Wednesday morning for an emergency repair and had it back to us Thursday afternoon. Since they also appeared to be fully booked with other 'vans we reckoned that was really excellent service.


We had booked our crossing through Alan Rogers so I phoned them to see whether a refund was possible and to book another crossing. The rebate was not possible as we should have cancelled more than 24 hours before the crossing. As if we chose to have a major problem!. However, we booked another crossing, DFDS this time, and having received a great deal of help from Lynn at Alan Rogers we thought that was that. That was not all though as later yesterday morning Lynn phoned again to say she had been in touch with P & O and they had refunded our original fare minus the handling charge. There are some very kind and helpful people around.
