Pete-B
I've just finished making a hinged lid for our new 5' X 3' trailer, I made this from a good quality 12mm exterior ply and covered this with 2mm aluminium checker plate with ali angle round the edges. It all looks very smart but how long will it look this way when it's subjected to our weather, ie rain etc? My question is, should I let it weather naturally or paint it and if so what paint should I use? I'm told if I do decide to paint it I must first of all prime it with an acid etch. The trailer itself is galvanised steel which I intend to leave as is. Thanks for any forthcoming advice.
Billggski
The aluminium will stay shiny, if you want to colour it use an etch primer first.
