We got ours done at a small specialist installer, dealers charge top whack.  One we used is in W.Mids though.  Best to decide which alarm you want and ring round for quotes and then google the company to see if anything adverse comes up about them before you book it.

So what alarm did you choose and why? Also what's the name of the installer you used?

Suggest you go to Vanbitz in Taunton.

A long way for you to go but you can stay on their campsite for a few days.

Their service and alarm are very good.

Have a look on their website or phone them to discuss.

Just a tad out of the way. Are you really saying there are no decent m/h alarm installers in the Midlands?

Your right..crazy. Fine if you want an overpriced system. Just look up on Thatcham site for approved commercial installers and ring a few....

Thought I was going to be helpful on this thread!

Passenger door was attacked during this holiday - no idea when as I always use the key fob. Anyway discovered yesterday that they must have done something to the siren as well because that is now mute, although the doors lock ok and the flashes go still. Mine is a Sigma Thatcham 1 and eventually found out that they are now owned by Scorpion and there are two dealers/repairers under 10 miles from my home in the UK. Incidentally they did not manage to enter the m/home as I have door lock covers inside the van so the door did not open.

Last year I had an Auto Watch 695RLC remote alarm fitted to my Piloté by AutoArm, Dalestorth Street, Sutton in Ashfield. (01623 555931)

The alarm is Thatcher category 2-1 and has worked perfectly since he fitted it.

It took him a few hours to fit at his garage but I seem to remember he would possibly come to you, if not too far away, and fit it at your house.
