Guest Peter James Posted September 16, 2014 Share Posted September 16, 2014 Plenty of wide unrestricted roads behind the seafront, never had a problem parking there and then parking on the beach during the day - although I don't know whether beach parking is allowed during the airshow. Southport is a great destination without the airshow. But for me there is no better or more fascinating display of aerobatics than watching the seagulls - which I can do for hours free of charge (lol) (although Southport is not a good place for seagulls because there are no cliffs) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Parking is available away from front near Hesketh Park coming from the north and then walk or bus to front. South Lancs CC are holding a rally in Victoria Park which is two minutes from all action and it is flat, it is not full so ring this number for further information 07896356833. Stayed in Blackpool for the fireworks Friday Night, but didn't feel like driving round to Southport in time to get a a parking space, so spent the weekend here.
