Sparky7
Does anyone know where to get replacement lugs for the handles in a roof vent? You know, the little lugs that stick out and hold the vent shut. It seems daft to have to replace the whole unit for one tiny piece of plastic, so it must be possible to get replacement lugs - failing that, a new push-up handle. StuartO
There are various designs of roof light so they will have different handles. Suggest you post a photo of yours, then someone might have a spare bit. Likewise go round to your local caravan/motorhome dealers (or a caravan breaker in your area) and see if they have any cast-off broken roof light units from which you could take a replacement bit to meet your needs. steve101
Generally speaking they can be replaced. Take the real thing to your nearest parts supplier and no doubt they will have one in stock somewhere.
Sparky7
They can indeed be replaced. After phoning AutoSleepers parts department to establish the make of the vent (they only supply the whole unit) which is MPK, I found a set of four handle inserts, complete with new springs, in my local caravan dealers. Cost? £9.99!
steve101
Great result. You will often find the best parts in the local parts suppliers!
