vindiboy
I bet the customer can,t wait for that van to be delivered to them after it having been stolen.
Guest pelmetman
I wonder if it was fitted with a state of the art alarm? :-| ................
Tracker
Perhaps the customer 'borrowed' it for an extended test drive? Trouble is all VWs look the same so I doubt anyone would even notice it! Does it have a registration number just in case someone sees what they think might be the one and only?
Derek Uzzell
There’s more information on the bilbos website that might help to identify the stolen vehicle http://www.bilbos.com/about-bilbos/latest-news/
David Dwight
Nah the customer couldn't wait so they took it!!!
lennyhb
"It was waiting to go on the transporter" expect they made it easy for the thief and left the keys in the ignition. If I was the customer and they got it back I wouldn't want it unless they gave a very good discount at least 30%

Guest Joe90
Illegal spacing of the letters on the number plate should be a dead giveaway.
Tea Cup
Won't have the same number plate, will it? It's probably on a container ship on its way to somewhere warm.
StuartO
Given the difficulty we have registering imported vehicle (Certificate of Compliance needed etc) I suppose stolen vehicles like this one do have to be taken to a less scrupulous jurisdiction, unles they stay in UK with the cloned vehicle identity of a van of the same underlying type. I suppose this was was stolen as the Show Halls were being cleared and someone left the keys in when they shouldn't have done. So much activity at the time that it would be easy to spot the opportunityt if a thief was looking out for such and just jump in to drive it away. The areas of tarmac just outside the Halls were inside a barrier controlled going in, to prevent unauthorised parking close to the Halls etc, but I noticed as the Campsite Shuttle Bus was driving out that the exit barrier just lifted automatically. This theft will have been a big blow for the company which was exhibiting it; they are unlikely to have had insurance cover for this sort of situation. I hope it's not a critical event for their future.
