Den
On page 88, taking pets on long ferry crossings. It states in the editorial that you are req to see the Vet close to the port 24-48 hours. The requirement is 24 -120 hours prior to travel for worming only. The vets close to the port or tunnel charge higher prices than central France. We used a Vet in the Costa blanca for €25 for 2 dogs. They supplied the tablets. In central France we have paid similar prices, on the coast we have paid €30 each in Etaples. Den
Billggski
They charge what they can get away with. The difficulty is getting a price before you book many say they have to give an examination and an injection in case the dog is sick later. At extra cost of course. There is a list of vets and contacts knocking about, but I can't find it at the moment
Den
We Used the vet at Etaples several times, but now stop on route when we see a practice. I tend to walk in without the dogs for a quote. Never fails and pay half the price near the coast. If we go for a weekend I use our own vet to stamp the passport. He does advise tick treatment, for the dogs, not me ( at least I think he does ). I look after his medical equipment and surgical instruments thus I don't have to pay him.
