lynneroy
Thanks everyone for your replies, we have two sleeps left before we collect our new motorhome, more exciting than Christmas in our house, getting an early train on Monday to Preston and then a few nights away to test it out. We have managed one night in Shrewsbury on the cc site over the Christmas period, Lynne ;-)

peacock312
Portsmouth to Bilbao,14December till March, straight down to Calpe, this is the eleventh winter somewhere in Spain or Portugal. As the years roll on we accept every year there as a bonus and hope it won't be our last! Got yet another damn medical to pass next April, hope to pass as we couldn't manage for three months in a smaller motorhome and at this stage of our life don't fancy going back to car and caravan,we also dread the prospect of winter in England so may one day have to think of an apartment, but everyone tells us how lonely and cold it can be and we would certainly miss the fun and cameradery of camping. lynneroy
It is lovely to hear what great winters you have in the sun, we hope to do that to one day, we wish you a great trip and very best of luck with next medical.
rupert123
No where Xmas except normal family stuff. 3 January off to the alps for five weeks skiing, better than getting bored in Spain or getting arrested by whatever charge the Spanish police can come up with next. Hope you are all leaving your 'A' frames and electric mopeds at home but have a good time anyway.

Maybe when your are down in Calpe, you could travel down and have a look at the Mojacar area of Almeria. The best weather factor in Europe, friendly people, and prices still rock bottom for property! Most of all, enjoy Christmas and New Year!
Tony Jones
Anyone down Calpe way, or Costa Blanca generally, should check out Bruce's ("BGD") gigs at http://nomadshow.weebly.com/index.html He's well worth seeing and hearing!
