Just to clarify. Flooded batteries cannot be turned upside down. unlike Gel and AGM.

 

Are you sure about that?

 

My understanding was that gel batteries could be mounted in any orientation - including inverted - but AGM batteries could be mounted at an angle to the vertical of no more than 90 degrees (ie. it’s OK to lay a AGM battery on its side, but not to mount it upside down). The ’no more than 90 degrees tilt’ caveat appears on several websites relating to AGM batteries.

Yes you are correct. I was referring more to when handling so have just added to confusion.
