tomboy99
Hi Lenny/All, How long did you have to wait for your paper work to come through from the dvla, plus when they send you your log book, do they send you the plates or do they give you paperwork so that you sort that yourself? Thanks as usual. Tom
4cls
As far as I know, you have to do the plates yourself, get the paper work from DVLA, took me ages to get mine, 3 weeks nearly! I cannot see DVLA setting up a number plate business, I had to do it myself when registering a Veteran motorcycle that came in from Holland. lennyhb
Took 31 days on mine, I was putting a personal plate on so I brought the plates on eBay while waiting. In my case they sent the tax disc (no longer required) and when I inquired about the V5 registration document they said it would be sent within the next 2 -3 weeks, but it actually arrived the next day. lennyhb
Now I remember the plates entitlement form came with the tax disc, I didn't need it as I brought my plates while waiting. Bear in mind can be a further delay up to 3 weeks before the V5 arrives which you would need to take with you if going out of the UK.
