Derek Uzzell
This earlier forum discussion may be useful http://www.outandaboutlive.co.uk/forums/Motorhomes/Hints-and-Tips/Reversing-Camera/35181/ The instruction sheet for a Hexa-Chain CM-50331A1 monitor (which it was suggested would probably be close in specification to yours) can be found here http://www.jr-electronic.net/PDF/CM_5033A1.pdf I can’t advise on whether the 7” monitor from ebay you refer to will be a direct replacement. If you can provide a link to the ebay advert, or provide the monitor’s make/model details, another forum member may be able to answer specifically. AliB
The 8 pin connector will be an intermediate connector. Further along the cable it will most likely split out to a different type of connector. The link provided by Derek gives a diagram showing the cable splitting out to RCA/Phono connectors. Other commonly used connectors at this point are 4-pin Mini DIN and 4 -Pin Aviation connector. It is at this point where you would connector your new monitor, not at the 8-pin connector.
