Jonboymentalhealth
Hi all I live in Wolverhampton West Midlands and wanted to take the motorhome and dog out for the day sun, any suggestions, nowhere to far but far enough to give van a bit of a run? lynneroy
Is Barmouth too far? Easy parking on the sea front and a huge beach to walk the dog.
Billggski
Cannock Chase centre around the corner, £3 parking, sculpture trail, dog paths. Calke Abbey, house closed but extensive walks. Trentham Gardens, walk around the lake with dogs.
Brock
Wenlock Edge. Memory serves me correct there is a car park on the road to Church Stretton. There is also the Long Mynd. In both cases, I've been able to park but as it was a few years ago, I suggest you consider whether height barriers have been erected. I presume Cannock Chase is well known to you. Derbyshire is within easy reach with its cycle/walking paths which did not have height barriers last year. The Tissington Trail is popular although I prefer the Leek & Manifold. I think your dog will have to be on a lead because of sheep. Wyre Forest is an easy run with the Malverns a bit further. I've found the Malverns a little restrictive for motorhomes. When I lived at Kidderminster, we spent most of our occasional days out wandering around the Welsh Marches. Bromyard Downs is pretty good.
