flightcom Posted January 28, 2015 Share Posted January 28, 2015 Apparently I have now reached the age where my existing travel insurance will only cover me for trips up to 31 days unless I pay an extra premium. I won't know what this extra premium is until I advise them of my trip. As we go away twice a year in our Motorhome for between 5 and 8 weeks this seems unreasonable. sooty10 Posted January 29, 2015 Share Posted January 29, 2015 Try RIAS travel cover, we use them and found them the most reasonable. We have also needed to use them when my wife was taken ill in the USA. We had no problem at all, the hospital sorted everything out with the insurance and we didn't even have to pay an excess. This year we are just covering Europe and for 12 months cover with 60 days away on any one trip I think the price was £168. That is for the two of us if you have any pre existing medical condition they seem to add £9 each. I must also mention that I am above 70. Hope this helps.
