Awning for pvc

bikey

Recommended Posts

hi all

Looking to purchase a awning for my pvc .

Any suggestions as to which one? Stand alone or drive away, want to keep it lightweight and easy to erect, do not want a fixed one, any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks all.

Hi Brian..

It's probably best if you give a few more details.

Type/size of van?

Does it currently have anything on it to anchor from?(gutter rail?).

What will the awning be used for?(just muddy boots/wet coats? or is required as an additional "living/sleeping room" ).

Will it be required to be relied upon in really windy conditions?....

We sold our Movelite drive away awning, without ever using it, as 'twas too much like faffin' about putting the tent up again (lol) (and we found a cheap simple, "caravan porch" useful).

The "inflatable" awnings are supposed to be all the rage now..so maybe worth a look?

(Do be aware, that with many awnings the travel of the sliding door will mean it's outside when open).

Hi Pepe,

Yes wrote the post in a bit of a hurry,

Pvc is 6.00 mtr , will be putting a 3.5mtr omnistor teardrop wind out awning on the van, looking for a porch type awning, inflatable if poss , drive away or stand alone to use as storage for bikes, chairs and occasional sleeping for grandchild, looking for reasonable lightweight but strong material,

Brian
