Rayjsj
Thats amazing, I still have my Fluke, from when i used it for work, but it hasn't been calibrated for many a moon. The Fluke cost £200 back in 1998. This one is Made in China i suppose, but still does the job. Ray
Tracker
I have had the identical multi meter for several years although I paid twice that for mine! In spite of it's low price it works very well with the readings comparing very well to those on a much more expensive meter and in my view it is quite good enough to leave in the van in case of problems. I also use on of these in the cigarette lighter socket wither in the cab or in the back of the van to monitor battery condition - although mine was cheaper than these! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/400854390828?limghlpsr=true&hlpv=2&ops=true&viphx=1&hlpht=true&lpid=108&chn=ps&device=c&adtype=pla&crdt=0&ff3=1&ff11=ICEP3.0.0-L&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=

gonewalkabout
Thanks for flagging that - I have also ordered one so I can leave it in the van :->
AliB
Amazing value, although the Current reading capabilities are very low. I had a similar one, although a little more expensive, and the cable fell apart from the connector. A set or replacement leads would have cost more than the DMM! StuartO
I have one of thiose, bought years ago for £10-£15 as I recall. Isn't it amazing that they can make them, import them and mail them to your home for that incredibly low price? Maybe the manufacture is now completely automated but if not I hate to think how little the production workers must be getting paid to sell at that price. Leads are very thin so I made up a couple more as standard small bullet connectors fit. Worked OK for a year or two, but then the battery started dropping out, not connecting properly etc - but it had been knocked about a bit and dropped a few times so can't complain. I've got better meters at home, but these are OK to keep in the van in case of breakdown. B-)

They probably can't, and have just dropped the price to shift surplus old stock.

StuartO
Peter James - 2015-02-27 2:51 PM Arrived today, looks like a newer model with improved battery box - the part that failed on my last one. Its not exactly a precision instrument, but it does work and at £2.27 including battery and P&P even I can't complain :-D Curiously enough my battery connector failed (and I happened to have means to repair it) but at that price you really can't complain if it does what it says on the tin, can you? I think I'll buy one as a spare!
gocro
Got my deluxe model (£2.29), I sneer at those cheap ones. The probes are so sharp you can pierce the insulation to take measurements through the insulation(a good thing).
hallii
I have got two already but as it's now at £2.19 I thought it rude not to buy one so I did! H
