Mel B Posted October 8, 2006 Share Posted October 8, 2006 For anyone thinking of getting one, we've just bought one From Tesco for under £18.00. It's quite small at only 23cm (9") x 26cm (10") x 5cm (2") approx, silver coloured and I guess it weighs just less than a bag of sugar. Being compact, rather than one of the slimline long ones, it will fit in a cupboard without a problem. It has a remote control and plays DVD, CD, VCD, CD-R\RW. My husband has tried some DVD's that he's recorded, both R and RW and they play fine. It's mains only but we'll just plug it into our inverter or use it on sites. We did also see a small one at Asda for a similar price but it was bright pink!!! Any Barbie girls (and boys!) out there would love that one!!! Hubby has made a nice rack that holds both it and the 12v satellite receiver as they are similar in size. That's that one solved. All we need to work out now, is how he can receive his beloved BBC 7 in hospital.
