seadog
Hi Just wondered if anyone can point me in the right direction. Our Dometic RM6270 frige will not start on gas. Runs fine on 240v and 12v. The igniter works and I can get a blue flame in the sight glass but it just goes out when I let go of the selector switch. All other gas appliances work fine. Is there any user maintenance to carry out on these Thanks
Southender
It need servicing, when was the last time you had it done ?
ips
It will be faulty thermocouple or loose connection. Unless it's an oxy pilot either way you really need an engineer.
Keithl
As you can light the pilot but it goes out immediately you release the button then it is most likely that the thermocouple (flame failure) has failed. http://www.leisureshopdirect.com/caravan/cooling/product_27423/dometic_thermocouple_-_l=1400mm.aspx Keith. ips
Keiths link confirms it's bog std pilot. So bad connection or faulty thermocouple or poss partly blocked injector so pilot flame not adequate or first of all make sure the knob is fully depressing and not catching on the cover.
