Steve928
I needed access to the vehicle battery for the first time yesterday and was surprised to see that having lifted the grey plastic cab floor panel there was no metal lid on the battery box. However, it appears that the cab floor panel is stronger than I recall from the X2/50 with some moulded cross members and a foam pad that sits on the battery securing bracket. So I'm thinking that this is how it was intended and that I'm not missing a part, but I'd be grateful for confirmation from any other X2/90 owners who've had access to their battery. Thanks. euroserv
Sorry; No access to any of our X290's at the moment and i was hoping not to have to go in there for at least 4 years!

There is no metal lid on the battery box on our 2013 build X250 (Peugeot).
Tracker
Indeed - and the plastic lid only fits where it touches in true Fiat style! The application of some thick foam draught excluder all around the edges along with blocking all the holes in the battery box has certainly reduced road noise! Steve928
Ah OK, thanks everyone - clearly the metal lid was phased-out some time ago and didn't correspond with the latest facelift. I hadn't realised that.
