Roy
On our recent trip to France we visited Reims where we stopped for 2 nights on the excellent free aire at Parc du Centre International Sejour (CIS) (secure grounds of up market hostel) in Chaussee Bocquaine, just a few minutes walk from the town centre. Excellent facility with 9 well used emplacements- get there early to ensure a place. Slight problem finding it because the lengthy street is now divided by a new stadium. The street runs NW to SE and it was necessary to find its junction with Avenue Gen. De Gaulle (NW end) where the entrance to CIS is guarded by an electronic barrier. There was also a problem at the barrier because there is restricted waiting area whilst making enquiries at CIS office for access. Excellent stop for two nights giving adequate time for sightseeing. Also highly recommended are the aires at Charmes/Voges and Stenay/Meuse where at both there are electric hook-ups and toilets/showers for €6 per night. Roy. robin
Good post Roy, I remember having the dickens of a job trying to find it, one cold and damp October evening three years ago.
motorhomefinder
We couldn't find it either, in day light!, but ended up just SW in the chamagne village of Chamery. Only a borne with 2 hrs of electric and 100litres of water, but very peaceful, and nearly every house is a champagne house.
