Bojitoes Posted March 19, 2015 Share Posted March 19, 2015 Hi all we are looking to go to a family birthday near Southend on Sea in May and want to take the 'van.I have looked on campsite finder and all other sources I know and cannot find a site anywhere near Southend- can this be true? Petra Posted March 19, 2015 Share Posted March 19, 2015 The last time we were in Southend the site in Shoeburyness was closed to tourers and was only holiday homes. There is a CL in Rayleigh but they weren't very forthcoming when we tried to ring them and did not really want us to stay so we didn't. The nearest site to Southend is Barleylands Farm Park at Billericay, otherwise there is a CL at Chelmsford called Little Baddow Hall Fruit Farm which is very nice although no facilities except hook up and chemical disposal. I know they are further away but Silver Road Caravan Park at Burnham on Crouch is excellent as is Gosfield Lake resort at Halstead. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
