Tea man
we are going up to Peniscola Spain can anyone recommend a campsite there for about 4 days. Then we are going up to Morella Spain about 45 miles in land just for the day. we are looking for a site there for one night. We have seen there is a overnight stop on the edge of Moella but don't know if it is safe. Thanks Tea man

Thanks Tea man I have used the aire at Morella to fill up with water and it looked pretty good with nice views and within walking distance of Morella. We actually stayed here http://www.campinglafresneda.com/princ_in.htm. , about 40km away. It's very nice and we stayed for a few days because it is an interesting area but maybe not so good if you have a big van. You could e-mail the dutch owners to ask. Thanks Tea man We usually stay at EDEN in Peniscola, right on the front, easy to walk to shops and Papa Luna Castle, can get busy, but I guess the winter stayers will be gone by now., I noticed a camp site on entering Peniscola from the south, can't remember what it was called, but there are several sites around all sign posted as you approach the town from both directions PJay

Cattwg
We looked at the Morella aire last autumn. There are signs, in three languages stating that the rules against putting out blinds, chairs etc will be enforced and that offenders will be ‘punished’. There’s an aire at San Rafael del Rio in the carpark of Spaetzle Fritz Restaurant. Take the N238 signed for Ulldecona beside Lidl off the N340 at Vinaros and then the CV11 signed for San Rafael del Rio. Alternatively junction 42 off the AP7 and CV11 at the roundabout. Address: Planes Del Reine, Carretera San Rafael a Vinarós. This is a nice restaurant with a pleasant bar and friendly owners. The restaurant is closed on Mondays. There is a large, hardstanding car park with the usual aire facilities. It’s German owned with local staff there’s little English spoken. Open all year. Free overnighting if a meal is bought, or it’s €6 + €4 for e.h.u. (2011). Cattwg :-D
neilmac
The Aire at Morella is just fine and the town is well worth a visit. I took some video on our last stay at the Aire. And, at Peniscola there is quite a nice small campsite that uses a part as an Aire - video of that one...
Dethleffs man
Used the Morella stop in December and would feel its safe to recommend to anyone, well used and nice spot. May find a bit of a walk to the citadel so we paid the 3 euros to park next to the city walls for the day, the parking attendant even said we could sleep overnight in the motorhome there if wish, very peaceful and safe but we went to the aire at evening time. fabulous views, as for Peniscola stayed there too and would recommend camping stop La Volta, without hesitation. Only 10 - 12 euros, swimming pool, excellent facilities and a really great atmosphere. Easy to cycle all over from there and the owners very helpful and friendly, lots of nationalities too but all smiling! Wish i was there now !!!!!!!!!!!!!
