andrew d
Since buying a new Rollerteam Auto Roller 200 in May 2013 I have had a recurring problem with the Thetford fridge tripping when on gas supply. We have had 2 new control panels and a new fuse box but the problem persists. It does not occur when on mains electric or the vehicle battery. The garage have said that as they cannot reproduce the problem they can do no more. Can anyone help please?
ips
When you say tripping do you mean the 12v fuse? I'd not what exactly is tripping ?
StuartO
Perhaps the OP means that when running on gas the flame goes out and fails to reignite automatically? Maybe get a caravan dealer's workshop to look at the fridge gas burner and jet?
Derek Uzzell
While it’s plainly going to be difficult for anyone to address a fault that only happens intermittently (and can’t be provoked when the fault is being investigated!), as it appears that Thetford (?) has acknowledged that there is a problem and new parts have been fitted in the past, Andrew may wish to take a more aggressive approach. Recent-ish Thetford products have a 3-year warranty http://www.thetford-europe.com/service/warranty/ As a good deal of work has already been carried out on Andrew’s fridge to try to resolve the problem, but the problem persists, it might be worth pressing for a replacement fridge to be fitted.
